Chef Ross Macleod uses the finest of local ingredients and seasonal produce, including wild venison, game birds, free range poultry, etc. - all freshly prepared each day - fresh fish and shellfish from the North Atlantic and North Minch our specialty!

Sample - A la carte Dinner Menu

Starters/aperitifs

Clam chowder with local hand dived scallops. Thick and creamy, served with a freshly baked crusty roll.

Snow pea, asparagus and coriander soup with a hint of ginger.

Smoked duck breast, served on a bed of fresh greens with cayenne chutney and truffle oil

Lewis mussels steamed in a fragrant Thai buerre blanc. With baby onion and parsley, served with a freshly baked crusty roll.

Mung bean sprout and gingered beef spring roll, served with oyster sauce and sweet chili dip.

Main Course

Flame grilled chunky sirloin steak with Limelite black pudding, served with a Shiraz, sherry and cracked black peppercorn reduction.

Fillet of Aberdeen angus beef with creamed potato and seared zucchini, served with carrot, coriander and lime puree, with rosemary jus.

Local lobster, live and cooked to order. Steamed and served in the shell with a crispy salad and lemon/crème frais dressing. Price may vary - please ask for price and availability, preferably by prior arrangement.

Hand dived local scallops with pink grapefruit and parsnip puree, served with creamy mash, prawn, cardamon and sweet peppers.

Roast monkfish tail with nori seaweed, served with a white port and ginger creme frais sauce.

Haddock fillet, lightly smoked on the premises over beechwood chips. Served with creamed celeriac and black caviar sauce.

Gorgonzola tart and roasted cherry vine tomatoes, served with a soft herb and citrus butter suace with a balsamic dressing.

Dessert

Winterberry and port compote with shortbread biscuit, served with guiness ice cream.

Sticky toffee pudding with butterscotch caramel sauce, served with liquorice ice cream.

Limelite's cheesecake, citrus lime and champagne sparkle. Served with champagne sorbet.

Sauteed banana in muscovado sugar with Cointreau, lime and cream. Served with chocolate sauce and sorbet.

Selection of Scottish & Island cheeses. Served with cocktail oatcakes and a rich dark Drambuie marmalade.
